Level DESCRIPTION

A smaller PVP 2v2 deathmatch map for the Lyra Shooter Game in Unreal Engine 5. The map consists of a main central building with surrounding pathways. It includes spawn points, weapon pickups, and health pickups. It has a gothic horror theme which is played into its different areas, including a central cathedral, a graveyard, groundskeepers areas, as well as surrounding cliff sides and a blood moon. A team wins when they have more kills at the end of the match.

This project was created for a Level design class during my sophomore year at Champlain College. As my first Unreal Engine 5 project, I got to learn the ins and outs of building a level within Unreal 5 .

This level was built with Unreal Engine 5's Lyra Shooter Game mechanics in mind and was designed around the idea of a nightmarish gothic cathedral surrounded by tall rock formations with the map containing a graveyard, mausoleum area, servant's quarters, storage area, the main cathedral with a large blood moon hanging overhead. The level revolves around the cathedral with there being multiple health and weapon pickups inside, along with more cover, while the outside has its main pathways leading around the outside of the cathedral with there being weapon pickups and health pickups found along the outskirts of the map as well. The map was created to provide a fun elimination death match experience in an unusual and unsettling locale.
